at fire
Hey. I'm Dirk. Welcome to my fire. Sit down. I write here, share what I see, and sit with what arrives. A life lived with attention — and the traces it leaves. Texts, images, encounters, silence. Everything you find here grew from walking, watching, and writing things down before they disappear.
I travel. Currently Vietnam. Before that Thailand, a truck in Germany, Portugal. I walk barefoot every morning, read when reading appears, and observe the systems we build around us — and the ones we carry inside. I'm 56 and more awake than I've ever been.

The embers are where the texts live. Stories, sparks, things that stayed warm long enough to write down.
Shin Li is my artistic voice. Visual poems, illustrations, a quiet eye that speaks in pictures.
The resources are my map — books, people, tools, and places that shaped this fire.
And if you want to know who sits here — come closer. Or better yet, come for a walk.

I also work with people — in conversation, in depth, in presence. That lives at OUTJOY. If you're in a transition and looking for orientation, that door is open.
